Frequently asked questions
Can customers track their own orders?
Yes. On the Business plan, each customer gets a login to request pickups and see the status and ETA of their orders. They never see other customers.
How do you handle STAT or rush runs?
Choose the service level when the order is created: Priority, STAT, weekday after 5 PM, Saturday, or Saturday STAT. Urgent orders are highlighted for dispatch and drivers, and the surcharge from your rate card is added automatically. Pickups after 5 PM, on Saturdays, and on Sundays or holidays get that level on their own, from the pickup time where you are; dispatch can change it. Surcharges never stack: Saturday STAT is its own rate.
Can we charge a fuel surcharge?
Yes. Set a flat percent, or one that follows the weekly U.S. diesel price from the Energy Information Administration, such as 1% for every 5 cents over $3.50. It shows as its own line on every order and invoice, each order keeps the diesel price it was priced with, and a customer can have its own fuel terms.
Can you prove chain of custody for specimens?
Yes. On the Business plan, drivers scan every specimen bag, tote, or package at pickup and delivery, and record the temperature on refrigerated loads. Missing or unknown items and temperature excursions are flagged, and every order has a printable custody report that the customer can see in their portal.
Do you handle standing daily runs?
Yes. Set up a standing order once with the places, days, and times. Orders are created a week ahead at your recurring rate and placed on the driver’s route. Skip holidays, pause, or change future runs without touching the ones already scheduled.
Can each lab or pharmacy have its own rates?
Yes. Give any customer negotiated rates, such as a flat stop fee or a lower STAT surcharge, and their orders are priced with them automatically. Everything else comes from your standard rate card.
What if a delivery can’t be made?
The driver records why. Attempts outside your control stay billable, a second try on the same route adds one stop fee, and a return trip later is a new order at the full rate. Dispatch can waive any attempt.
Do you track wait time at facilities?
Yes. The driver app measures the time from Arrived to Completed and fills in the wait for the driver to check, and stops can be marked Arrived automatically when the driver gets there. Wait past your free minutes is billed at your rate, and owners see each month how much wait time was captured this way.
Can we require a signature for every delivery?
Yes. Turn on required signatures and drivers cannot complete a delivery without one.
